About our school

Admission procedure

Gravesend Grammar School for Girls admits students from age eleven from about thirty different primary schools in the area.  Students are admitted in accordance with the Admissions Procedure as published by the Governing Body.  Application forms and details of this procedure are available from the school.  An information evening will be organised for potential students and their parents and visitors are welcome to see the school at work on Open Days.  Details of these visits are also available from the school.  Details and dates of admission procedures at age eleven are published in the local press in the Autumn Term each year.

Girls also join at 16+ to follow AS/A2 Level courses as a result of a reference and the required GCSE grades for the courses chosen.  Girls can also be admitted to other year groups, following tests and their current school's recommendation.  Application Forms and a Sixth Form brochure are available from the school office.
